RARE JVC JR-S501 Receiver. S.E.A. equalizer for sale in Searsport, ME
RARE JVC JR-S501 STEREO RECEIVER. I have owned this unit for many years and use it regularly, selling as I bought a different vintage reciever. This receiver does function as it is, however being sold as-is 'parts only' due to audio 'cutting out' while playing. This has only happened a few times and each ti.e a light love tap on the side or top got it working, not sure what might cause it. Additionally the speaker select buttons being 'stuck' and the spk-1 button being broken, off track. (See pics) The buttons are stuck "ON" so the unit can be used. There are also a couple missing adjustment caps(? the metallic end piece) on the equalizer adjustment levers. The equalizer still functions and can be adjusted as the post is fine, just missing 2 of the cosmetic end pieces. Phono and subsonic buttons also sticks sometimes and needs to be tapped a couple times in order to pop back up. All the lamps and analog guages work and the volume, equalizer and tuning work as they should.
